DoC MuZiK'S SoMeWhaT UnIFiEd WeBwOrlD O'InTRiGuE

Good evening, my friends. I'm your congenial host, DoC MuZiK...and this is a little part of my somewhat off-the-wall world. I'm an incurable nostalgist...always pining for the "good old days". In my formative years...the early to mid-seventies...I formed most of the precepts and ideals I still hold today...like preferring my own musical tastes to that of the deejay on the radio and his Top 40 pap...like preferring big honking 25-cent reprint comic books to the $2.95 multiple-covered travesties of today...and like preferring the Golden Age of Hollywood to practically anything that has been put out from the studio grind since 1975.

As my nickname suggests, I enjoy music. I will listen to every kind of music on the planet...from heavy metal to big band...from Native American drums to Mozart...though I really don't care much for Country and Western (horrible American that I am...hehe). My musical tastes tend towards the likes of Blue Öyster Cult, Rush, Frank Zappa, Glenn Miller, Lionel Hampton, Gilbert and Sullivan, Mascagni, and a multitude of others. Walking into my apartment you are just as often likely to hear "I, Pagliacci" as you are Def Leppard.

Movies are one of my main interests. I have a video collection that can compete with the best of them, and am no mean movie historian. And I love every genre of movies...musicals, dramas, comedies. I hold a special spot in my heart for silent movies...and for Japanese monster movies, known as "kaiju eiga" to followers of the genre. Just for the record, my favorite movies are Seven Samurai (1952), Father Goose (1964), Singin' in the Rain (1952), Godzilla (the original 1954 Japanese version) and The Transformers The Movie (1986). A strange melange even I must admit.

The truly important thing in my life is my lady love and soulmate, the lovely shewolf, whom I love more than life itself. She is a woman, friend and lover beyond compare...and very soon I will be with her. We are starting a very wonderful life together with our cats, Lu and Who-Be, in the wilds of the Eastern United States. My life will truly be complete the day I walk in her door...for she is truly all I could ever dream for....
